In a benzene molecule, six carbon atoms and six hydrogen atoms are on the same plane, forming a regular hexagon. The bond is the same, and the bond Angle is 120 degrees. From benzene can be prepared polystyrene plastics, styrene butadiene rubber, synthetic detergents, synthetic drugs, dyes and pesticides and so on.

Benzene is chemically stable, aromatic, and prone to substitution reactions - halogenation, nitration, sulfonation, and Fourier reaction. Addition reaction can occur under appropriate conditions.
